Charles Bennett ~ Mr. Bennett has teamed with RCS on a variety of engagements involving real estate securities. He is a senior capital markets executive and corporate securities lawyer with over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of real estate syndication as well as private placement distributions and registered public offerings. Charles has his own firm in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, Capital Markets Management Consultants, LLC. 

Jack Burkholder ~ Mr. Burkholder is a founder and former RCS principal who is now working with us on a project-by-project basis. He is a real estate generalist and is one of RCS’ “quants” and is a subject matter expert in hospitality, real estate investment and financial analysis as well as investment banking, hotel management and development. In addition, he has served as a receiver in numerous troubled hospitality situations.

Joe Champ ~ We often team with Mr. Champ when the trouble involves hotels, resorts or golf.  He has hands-on experience as a senior executive with all these hospitality-focused asset classes, as before forming his own firm in 2006, Champ Hospitality, he held positions with Wyndham International Inc., Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Westin Hotels and Resorts, Cobblestone Golf Group, and the American Golf Corporation. With RCS, he has worked on numerous engagements in the United States and overseas and is an experienced testifying expert witness.

Dan Conway ~ Mr. Conway is a nationally recognized expert in real estate market research and project feasibility.  With his staff at THK Associates, he has worked with RCS for over two decades providing data and market analyses and his real estate insights. Since the late 1960s, he has applied and updated quantitative research techniques that were originally developed by James Graaskamp at the University of Wisconsin. Dan is a sought after testifying expert witness in his subject matter field of real estate markets, development, entitlements and project planning.

Steve Crosson, MAI ~ Mr. Crosson has over 40 years of experience in the valuation of virtually all types of real estate. His practice is national in scope, and his focus is primarily on litigation support and dispute resolution. He is the National Practice Leader of the Litigation Group of Integra, one of North America’s largest, most well-respected, independent appraisal companies. Steve has often teamed with RCS when valuation is an issue and has appeared in Court many times on our engagements.  He holds State issued appraisal licenses that allow him to value property and provide opinions in many states, and he is also a well- respected, senior Member of the Appraisal Institute (“MAI”). 

Brian Goodheim, MAI ~ In addition to his strong property valuation and development feasibility credentials as a licensed appraiser and as a MAI, Mr. Goodheim provides RCS with expert real estate quantitative know-how and is proficient with the handling of large, cumbersome data sets. He brings deep computer skills and system analysis to RCS. On numerous engagements, he has provided RCS with the organization and searching of large files associated with discovery in litigation cases.

Sally Jennings ~ Is President of Realty Capital International (“RCI”) based in NYC.  RCI is a comprehensive, boutique real estate investment banking firm that has executed over $9 billion of real estate transactions.  Ms. Jennings is an expert on loans secured by real estate as well as equity and mezzanine instruments, and beyond her expertise provides RCS with access to New York’s capital markets.  A NYU adjunct instructor, she teaches and has become an expert in Family Owned real estate and family office operations and associated issues and complications. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors of two major real estate companies.

Al Nagy ~ Mr. Nagy is one of the founders of RCS and is now an “emeritus member” working with us on a project by project basis. He has particular expertise in property management and leased income property acquisition and disposition, the result of a long career in real estate investment and as the managing partner of a number of large investment funds.  Al is an expert on fiduciary duty and is a well-regarded expert witness on diverse real estate investment and loan matters. He is one of the early providers of expert testimony in the solar energy field. His expertise in this area was gained as the Chief Financial Officer of a solar developer during the last ten years.

Geoff Senogles ~ Mr. Senogles is a forensic accounting expert with considerable experience in providing testimony in contentious international proceedings. He is a Chartered Accountant from Wales who with his colleagues has been based in Nyon, Switzerland, near Geneva, since 2000.  Geoff has testified in legal proceedings on over 40 occasions, acting as either party-appointed or tribunal-appointed expert witness, has been appointed as non-executive or advisory board member to multiple client companies over the years and has worked extensively in various states in the Middle East. RCS and Geoff have worked together on international cases such as: the taking by the government of a hotel/casino development in Côte d’Ivoire; the mismanagement of a hotel in Istanbul; and the irregular loan practices of an international bank based in the UK. Geoff has supported the expansion of RCS’ real estate capabilities into his unique area of professional services in international arbitration.

Larry Shughart ~ Real estate is often associated with railroads and other transportation systems.  Mr. Shughart is RCS’ transportation consulting affiliate. During his 25-year career, he has led consulting engagements on railway feasibility studies, railway revitalization, asset utilization, service scheduling, performance improvement, operations management, strategic analyses, due diligence, and opportunities assessments. He has worked on railroad projects in over 20 different countries.
