Issue/Opportunity

Issue: A high net worth family had invested in a Southern California low-income housing project as the sole limited partner. The general partner was both attempting to take over the partnership to re-syndicate it as the low-income compliance period had expired, and was trying to acquire the limited partnership interest at a below market price

RCS Role

Response: Retained by the limited partner, RCS directed negotiations, performed analyses and assisted with moving the dispute into mediation.  Ultimately RCS’ client, the limited partner, bought out the general partner and kept the property.

Issue: A $1+ Billion real estate developer/investor and multi-business group in Latin America sought to evaluate the restructuring potential within its portfolio 

Response: An RCS principal created and executed a restructuring Plan

Issue: A large publicly traded mountain resort owner/operator wished to renegotiate terms and conditions of its real estate loans for its portfolio of mixed-use and hotel properties.

Response: An RCS principal led the negotiations and implemented an asset restructuring plan to reduce the company’s exposure.
